Transparency & Receipts

How do I donate to Gurdwara Sahib Darwin (SANTI)?

You can contribute your Daswandh or Sewa via direct Australian bank transfer to Sikh Association of Northern Territory Inc. (BSB: 065-903, Account Number: 010746943, Reference: Langar + your name), or in person at the Golak inside the Darbar Sahib at 8 Earhart Court, Marrara NT.

Are donations to SANTI tax-deductible in Australia?

SANTI (Sikh Association Northern Territory Incorporated, ABN 74 511 092 143) is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). However, general religious and community kitchen (Langar) donations are not currently endorsed for Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) tax-deductible status under Australian tax law. Official contribution receipts are issued upon request.

Can I sponsor a weekend Langar or donate groceries in kind?

Yes. Families and individuals are warmly welcome to sponsor a Saturday evening or Sunday midday Guru ka Langar, or contribute dry groceries (such as atta, basmati rice, lentils, cooking oil, milk, and fresh vegetables). Please contact the Gurdwara committee to coordinate dates and kitchen requirements.

How do I request a receipt for my bank transfer?

Please forward your bank transfer confirmation along with your full name and date of transfer to administrator@santi.org.au, and the SANTI Treasurer will issue an official acknowledgment receipt.
